  • Maternal Child Health

From the very beginning, families are supported by trusted health and early‑years services located close to home.

A Maternal and Child Health consult room, operated by the City of Whittlesea, is based at the Shared Space Community Hub, providing essential support for parents and babies during the earliest stages of life. This local access allows families to receive guidance and care without needing to travel far from their neighbourhood.

Additional support is available through a second Maternal and Child Health nurse located at the Murnong Community Centre, offering greater flexibility and reassurance during the important early years of parenting.

  • Early Learning and Kindergarten

A strong start begins locally, with a range of early learning and kindergarten options available within the community. These facilities are designed to support children through their formative years, while giving families convenience and choice close to home.

Wallaby Childcare and Early Learning Centre is a modern, purpose‑built facility located within the neighbourhood, providing education and care for children aged 0–5 years in a contemporary learning environment.

Eucalyptus Parade Kindergarten, located close to Hume Anglican Grammar School, delivers 3 and 4 year old kindergarten programs in a welcoming, community‑focused setting.

Murnong Community Centre Kindergarten features two dedicated kindergarten rooms supporting 3 and 4 year old programs delivered by the City of Whittlesea.

Together, these early learning facilities provide families with flexible, accessible options, all within easy walking distance of home.

  • Primary Education

Primary schools are integrated into the Olivine neighbourhood, supporting everyday ease and a connected approach to learning for families.

The school features contemporary learning facilities, including a library, science and food technology spaces, music and drama rooms, and a competition‑grade gymnasium, supporting students from Prep to Year 6.

For families seeking an independent education option, Hume Anglican Grammar is also located within the community. The school offers primary education from Prep to Year 6, alongside early learning and expanding secondary year levels. Purpose‑built learning spaces and a progressive curriculum are designed to nurture curiosity, confidence and academic development.

With both government and independent primary schools located close by, families benefit from flexibility and peace of mind as children progress through their primary years.

  • Secondary Education

As children move into secondary education, families continue to benefit from access to quality schooling within the local area.

Hume Anglican Grammar offers a seamless transition from primary through to secondary education. With a focus on academic achievement, character development and future readiness, the school supports students as they prepare for the years ahead within familiar surroundings.

The school currently delivers education from Prep to Year 10 (as of 2026), with plans to expand year by year through to Year 12 by 2028, providing long‑term continuity for families planning their child’s education journey.

Beyond the immediate neighbourhood, families have access to a broad selection of secondary education options within the surrounding Donnybrook, Kalkallo, Craigieburn and Mickleham areas. Nearby government secondary schools include Ngayuk College in Kalkallo, established to support the growing Donnybrook community and progressively expanding from Year 7 through to Year 12, as well as Mickleham Secondary College, Elevation Secondary College and Mount Ridley College, all offering full secondary pathways within a short drive. Independent secondary education is also available at Hume Anglican Grammar’s Mount Ridley (Freier) campus in Mickleham.
